Job Description

In this role,

The Lean Master will be an Ambassador of the Lean Excellence Phased Deployment Model and will ensure rigorous adherence to the Phased Activities and to the exit criteria.

The Lean Master will deliver training of the Continuous Improvement Lean Curriculum and also elements of the wider Philips Excellence curriculum, with Change Management and Performance Management being two key areas of involvement.

He/She will coach to certification candidates for Lean Master, Expert, Advanced and Foundation levels and will be held accountable for a high certification ratio

You are responsible for

Engaging with and representing the Deployment Sites in the Continuous Improvement (CI) Team

Support the sites in their competence development

Enable the development of a Lean deployment plan:

  • Initial introduction of the program and development of the ‘Burning Platform’
  • Linkage to the BG / CO / BPO/ Function Management Agenda (Hoshin Planning)
  • Identification of the Value Streams, utilizing the BMCs for support of the prioritization

Support the execution of the deployment plan:

  • Determine knowledge and competence gaps and enable training and resource as necessary
  • Make all Stakeholders aware of ‘off-standard’ issues (e.g. Head of CI, Lean Champion, Site Leader, etc.)
  • Coach the Lean Champion

Train and coach Lean Masters, Experts, Advanced and Foundation Level

Capture, document and share best practice, transferring knowledge across deployment sites and cross sector

Build a network of external Lean/ CI best practices and consultants

Involvement in Lean End-to-End deployments (I2M, M2O, O2C)

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is required
  • A minimum of 12 years of Lean Management/Deployment experience in the commercial functions and B2B industry
  • A Lean Master or Certified in Lean
  • A Good Facilitator
  • Experience in multi locations Lean deployment is required
  • Strong engagement and stakeholder management skills
